Well that was interesting. Texas Tech completely destroyed Arkansas-Pine Bluff. The game was over at half time when the score was 52-19. This was a game when everything was clicking for the Red Raiders and the opposition never had an answer. Tech was led by Aaron Ross' 15 points and 3 boards. Center Matthew Temple got plenty of minutes today and was really impressive. His presence in the middle and exceptional passing ability are going to be such an asset this season. I am sure Tubby Smith is still figuring out his rotation and after only two games, Temple is making his case for more minutes. It is safe to say we can say put to bed the worries of how we will replace Manderson.
Game Notes:
- 11 players scored for Tech with 6 of them in double digits.
- Ross and Temple came off the bench and got some good work together. Their interior passing was great.
- The team had a total of 22 assists in the game. Outstanding team play.
- 65% from the field going 9 of 14 from the three point line.
- I thought the team was going to break 100 points today, but trash time with deep bench players on the floor slowed the offense.
