Red Raiders in the Pros - Week 15

With only 2 weeks left in the regular season, a look at how former Red Raiders are doing in the NFL

Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

Michael Crabtree - WR, Oakland Raiders

Crabtree continued his march towards 1,000 yards with 70 yards in a loss to the Packers. The Raiders are on the outside of the playoff picture, but Mike is only 151 yards away from 1,000 with 2 games left. His 70 yards this week came on 6 catches on 11 targets as youngster Derek Carr threw for almost 300 yards. Mike's sure hands and great route running is really helping the young quarterback develop into a relationship on the field that is allowing the Raiders offense to rebuild. The Chargers visit Oakland on Christmas Eve, and then the Raiders finish the season in Kansas City. Hopefully Crabtree can eclipse the 1000 mark for the first time since 2012, his only 1,000 yard season of his career so far.

La'Adrian Waddle - OL, New England Patriots

Last year at this time, Waddle tore his ACL to end a season where he was limited by injuries. Being so late in the season, his recovery from surgery was delayed, and never could get back into form this year. He was inactive 3 of the last 4 games as a Lion, before being released. The Patriots picked him up this past week, joining Amendola in Boston.

The other receivers in the league, Amendola, Welker, and Marquez, all had a very slow week, with Amendola the only one who had any receiving stats after leaving the game in the 2nd quarter with a knee injury. For the year Danny has 63 catches for 631 yards and 3 scores. In his rookie season, Marquez has 13 catches for 88 yards in limited action, and Welker has 10 receptions for 83 yards in 6 games with the Rams this season.
