Texas Tech lost a nail-bitter last week to West Virginia and suffered its first blowout loss to #1 Oklahoma. The Red Raiders now look to bounce back against a feisty Arkansas team that upset #5 Texas A&M in its last game.

Ex-Red Raider Dusty Hannahs leads the Razorbacks in scoring averaging 16.7 points a game. Hannahs and senior guard Athlon Bell aren't afraid to pull up for 3, the two have taken a combined 243 3-point shots. While Hannahs and Bell are the Razorbacks' outside presence, Moses Kingsley is the force down low for Arkansas. Kingsley has gotten to the free throw line 66 more times than the next man on the list which is Hannahs going to the line 73 times this season. The Red Raiders will need to disrupt Hannahs and Bell behind the arc or the Razorbacks can build up a lead fast.

The Razorbacks are coming off of a big win against #5 Texas A&M. All in all, Arkansas looks like your average team. They've beaten the teams they should and have lost the games they should've but are capable of pulling off a few upsets. In a lot of ways, they remind me of Texas Tech just from that stand point. While Arkansas did lose to Akron and Mercer in pre-SEC play, they do have a bit of momentum after the big upset of A&M. The Razorbacks opened as a 4 point favorite over the Red Raiders and now the line has them favored by 6. You would have to think that the upset played into those numbers a bit.
Prediction
Texas Tech 76 - Arkansas 72
The Red Raiders look to turn things around and beating an Arkansas team that just upset the #5 team in the nation would be a great way to do it. There will be a little bit more on the line when the Red Raiders and Razorbacks meet up, you have the Hannahs vs his old team storyline and you also have to remember that the last time a Texas Tech team was in Fayetteville they put a whooping on the Razorbacks (football). Look for this to be a very competitive game that could even get a little chippy.
