The Red Raiders and Jackrabbits meet up in the battle of 1-loss teams. This is a very intriguing matchup and will be a true test for both teams. Who will come out on top? Let's hope it's Texas Tech.

Last 5 Games
| 11/25 Cleveland State | W 77-66 |
| 11/28 Missouri-Kansas City | L 64-57 |
| 12/2 Wayne State | W 80-53 |
| 12/8 Minnesota | W 84-70 |
| 12/13 UC Santa Barbara | W 86-68 |
Earlier this year South Dakota State put away TCU pretty easily and also beat Cleveland State, who's usually an above average basketball program, by 11. Just recently the Jackrabbits beat Minnesota by 14, the same squad Texas Tech beat by 13. The Jackrabbits did lose to UMKC though. That same UMKC team lost to UT Martin which Texas Tech beat in its last game 68-49. So basically what I'm saying, anything can happen.
Prediction
Texas Tech 74 - SDSU 72
Both teams know that their opponent only has 1 loss and expect them to play as if this was a postseason game. I imagine this game will be fairly close throughout the contest and Texas Tech will eventually pull through with the win in the end.
Texas Tech's next game will be against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Saturday at 3:00 PM.
