As the normal comments concerning the Raider Football success, or lack there of, surface halfway through the season; lets take a look back at the results of Raider Football seasons to see which were the most satisfactory for the fans.
My favorites were :
A. 1973......Gator Bowl Win
B. 2008.... Still ranks as having best game, but Oklahoma and Bowl loss move it to # 2
C. 1976....Loss to U of H cost the conf. championship, two missed field goals in 4th Q in bowl loss to Nebraska
The Red Raider fans have been saddled with many disappointing seasons. So big wins and super seasons are relished and appreciated.
It is quite obvious why fans feel disappointed in current results after experiencing the Mike Leach era.....
