PREVIEW:
The Baylor Bears enter Saturday's matchup with the Red Raiders 4th in the Big XII and 22nd nationally. Baylor seems to have found some offense as of late, and are led by Taurean Prince and Rico Gathers, both of whom are averaging above 13 points per game. Baylor is still a team that is in a slight state of identity fluidity. If they're going to make a solid run at the Big XII title in the postseason, they're going to have to find something to hang their hats on.
Texas Tech is entering a crisis mode. They opened the Big XII season with a solid win vs. Texas, but the things that got them that win (free throw shooting, small amounts of turnovers) have proven to be problems for the Red Raiders recently. If Tech can make some free throws, play good D, and get Devaughtah Williams involved early, we have a good chance to win. Rico Gathers is going to be a problem down below, but Zach Smith should get the better of him once or twice.
