It has been floating around the twittersphere that Jabbar Juluke, running back coach from Louisiana Tech, has accepted the same role under Coach Kingsbury. Juluke started out as a high school coach in New Orleans, spending 9 years at Edna Karr High School, with a record of 80-39, and advancing to the 4A state title game his last 3 years.
He moved to La Tech after the 2012 season and has been pivotal in the success of Kenneth Dixon, who finished his college career as the all-time leader in touchdowns, points scored, and games played where he scored a touchdown. This past year La Tech scored 27 rushing touchdowns, and they were 19th in scoring offense nationally. Now that the Red raiders are starting to have a solid rushing attack, Juluke should be able to step right in and work with speed demon Stockton and upcoming superstar Corey Dauphine.
Juluke will also bring more substance to Tech's recruiting presence in Louisiana, as Bulldog's head coach Skip Holtz called him a "rock star" in New Orleans when they played in the New Orleans Bowl this past season.
Welcome to Lubbock Coach Juluke!!!
