It would appear that Davis Webb is still looking for his home post-Texas Tech. The former Holiday Bowl MVP will head back to the Golden State to visit Cal, according to Bruce Feldman.
Some potentially big PAC-12 news: #TexasTech grad transfer QB Davis Webb is taking a visit to #Cal right now: https://t.co/vVxHrL1KyN

Webb started as a true freshman for Texas Tech in 2013, gaining multiple awards in addition to the Holiday Bowl MVP. He was an Honorable Mention on the Freshman All-American list, and won the Big XII Offensive Player Of The Week award once. In his sophomore campaign, his incredible stats were marred by spats of questionable turnovers, and after several injuries, Kliff Kingsbury handed the reins to Patrick Mahomes.
After spending last season backing up Patrick Mahomes, who became one of the best quarterbacks in the nation, Webb decided to transfer to continue his career. We here at VTM love Davis Webb for his ability to block out the hate that comes with a bad season, and for transferring on good standing with the program and school. We'll never forget his utter domination of an outstanding Arizona State defense in the Holiday Bowl, his willingness to sacrifice his body for his team, and the way he carried himself on the sideline throughout the 2015 season.
Davis committed to Colorado and former Texas Tech assistant Darrin Chiaverini in January, but appears to still have Cal on his radar. No matter where he goes, I have confidence that Davis Webb will succeed.
