Texas Tech's worst loss of the season is arguably to Kansas State. The Wildcats beat the Red Raiders 83-70 in the first matchup between these two teams. Texas Tech will look to lock up their NCAA tournament bid and secure the win on Senior Day this go around when they meet up with Kansas State.
Kansas St Key Players
|Points/Game||12.1||G Justin Edwards|
|Rebounds/Game||5.7||G Justin Edwards|
|Assist/Game||3.7||F Wesley Iwundu|
|3pt Made/3pt %||44/126, 34.9%||G Barry Brown|
|Free Throw %||96/137, 70.1%||F Wesley Iwundu|
Since their last matchup, Justin Edwards has taken over as the team's leading scorer and rebounder. While his numbers aren't eye-popping he's been playing very well as of late. Last matchup I said Texas Tech wouldn't have to worry about Kansas State's 3-point game and man was I wrong. In the last game the Wildcats hit a season-high 10 3-pointers. Those 10 3-pointers were a shocker to me because as a team no one shoots over 35% from behind the arc. Maybe this time the Red Raiders will focus just a little bit more on eliminating the open 3-point shot.

Kansas State has gone 5-9 since last facing Texas Tech. Three of those wins came against TCU (2) and Oklahoma St (1). The Wildcats were 10-5 in the first meeting and still had a shot at the NCAA tourney but now they're trying to keep their hopes alive of making the NIT. While Kansas State has had a tough year, they're still a tough team so look for this to be a competitive game.

The Red Raiders are going to come out strong in this game. A win would solidify their NCAA tournament bid and send the seniors out on a high note on Senior Day. Norense Odiase will be returning to the court so look for him to get 5-10 minutes of playing time. I expect Toddrick Gotcher to have a big showing in his last game at the USA.
