Week 1 was entertaining, but most of the teams that have played a bowl game haven't exactly been the biggest or the most popular. The week between Christmas and New Year's Eve has a few more interesting matchups, including our game this Tuesday night, Miami vs Wazzu this afternoon, and the battle of the Tigers, when Memphis takes on Auburn. They really should have changed the name of the game, as the Birmingham Tiger Bowl sounds a lot better than the Birmingham Bowl. Let's look at how things have gone the first week.

The standings so far don't mean too much, as only 12 games have been picked. Drew is averaging over 20 points per correct game, whereas Hunter doesn't even have 7. The joy of the confidence points can skew with the standings, as some people have used most of the lower points as the bowls began. We'll look at the next set of games today, with the final set of games announced next Thursday.
