Texas Tech picks up their 4th commitment of the 2014 class in offensive lineman, Trace Ellison, from Centennial in Frisco, Texas.

SCOUTING REPORT | Since I've been writing so much, all I can think about his how some of the tackle prospects haven't gained weight and they are a bit undersized, in particular Trey Keenan, Matt Wislon and Rashad Fortenberry. Not undersized by my standards, but undersized from the standpoint that they maybe haven't added weight that I tend to think that could be beneficial at playing that tackle spot.

Ellison looks to be pretty close to being there physically. He's not a finished project, he's assignment driven and he knows where he needs to go on each play. He's seeking out his assignment the minute that the ball is snapped. He's got good footwork and he does a really good job of hunting down. Ellison is not as nimble as some of the other offensive linemen recruited previously, but I think he's stronger, his arms are stronger and he knows how to use them. I think that's an advantage that not a lot of kids have at his level, that's big time in Ellison's ledger.

Ellison was named the first team district 9-4A and he was also named as the #55 player in Bobby Burton's top 100 in the state of Texas.
