Fox 26 is reporting that current Houston interim head coach and defensive coordinator, David Gibbs, interviewed with Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury on Tuesday for Texas Tech's open defensive coordinator position:

University of Houston defensive coordinator David Gibbs, who is serving as UH's interim coach in the Armed Forces Bowl against Pittsburgh, has interviewed to become the next defensive coordinator at Texas Tech.

College football sources told FOX 26 Sports Gibbs met with Texas Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury on Tuesday.

It would seem that with the interview leaking that there's some real heat and it wouldn't surprise me to see Gibbs named shortly after the holiday.  Houston plays on January 2nd against Pittsburgh in the Armed Forces Bowl.
