Former Red Raider running back DeAndre Washington has been impressive in his first NFL training camp. Tonight his hard work paid off as he scored his first NFL touchdown during Oakland's Week 3 preseason matchup vs the Tennessee Titans.

The touchdown came on a six yard pass from Oakland's starting quarterback Derek Carr. It helped Oakland tie the game at seven in the first quarter.
Washington has quickly shot up the Raiders running back depth chart since training camp opened. He was originally slated to be behind Roy Helu Jr. However, Helu was placed on the team's injured reserve list in late July and he was waived a few days after. This put Washington in contention for the second string running back position behind Latavius Murray. After the first two preseason games, he had 13 rushing attempts for 51 yards and averaged 3.9 yards per carry. Now he has a receiving touchdown to go along with his stats.
Congrats on your first NFL touchdown DeAndre and good luck this season with the Raiders!
