1. Women's Clinic Today | Don't forget that the women's clinic is today @ 5:00 pm.

2. Kingsbury in Texas Monthly | I wrote a post but didn't realize until this morning that I forgot to link to Texas Monthlly's Jason Cohen Q&A with head coach Kliff Kingsbury. I've added a link to yesterday's post and I'm linking again to try to make up for the error.

3. NFL's Texas Tech Preview | It's tough to write about every team and be totally accurate (like thinking that Texas Tech's 3-4 is a 2-gap defense), but this is the NFL's preview of the Red Raiders and it's okay. There is a break-down of potential draftees, which include Eric Ward and Kerry Hyder.

4. Targeting and Hurry Up Offense | I don't know what to think about the hurry up offenses and the targeting rules other than I understand that the NCAA wants to curb head injuries because the players will eventually sue the NCAA for failing to do anything, but the players will be upset when they are ejected. SB Nation's Spencer Hall has some excellent thoughts on what we want football to be and I think it feels like a vicious cycle. SB Nation has a good summary of Washington St. head coach Mike Leach on the hurry up offenses and other things. I think there is something to the targeting rule and there needs to be something done to help with that, but I don't have a lot of good solutions. I think it would be better to be more strict about the prior rule.

5. Jacob Karam is Awesome | Just go watch.

6. Stadium Renovation Photos | Totally Texas Tech with more stadium renovation and video board photos from yesterday.

7. Men's Basketball Things | Arizona Wildcats safety Patrick Onwuasor was charged with four felonies and dropped from the football team. I think that Patrick is the older brother to recent Texas Tech commit Randy Onwuasor. I don't think that we can assume one thing or another about either player, but it is news. Also, apparently the complete field to the Barclays Legends Classic.

8. Catching Up With Slay | The LAJ catches up with former hard-hitter Dwayne Slay as he currently works at the Denton County juvenile detention center and wants to get back into football.

9. Welker on Kingsbury | ESPN talked with Wes Welker about his new restaurant in Oklahoma City and Kingsbury.

10. Five Takeaways | The DMN has five takeaways from Texas Tech's media day including the thought that the team has voted two players to be representatives for each class (seniors, juniors, sophomores and freshmen) with Eric Ward and Kerry Hyder being the representatives for the senior class. Kingsbury hasn't decided who will be captains for the team on a weekly basis.

11. Three-and-Outs | Interesting stuff from Football Study Hall on the effect of three-and-outs. Texas Tech was 62nd last year.

12. I Can't Believe I'm Doing This | Hat-tip to the DMN, a celebrity gossip website JustJared has photos of Leonardo DiCaprio in a Texas Tech hat.
