The Lady Raiders (11-2, 1-0) head to Stillwater, OK to take on the #16 Oklahoma State Cowgirls (10-2, 0-1) at 7pm CST at the Gallagher-Iba Arena.  This will be the 55^th meeting between these teams with Texas Tech holding the lead in the series 32-22.  Texas Tech is coming off a win over TCU in their season opener on Jan 4, 2015. The win was the first Big12 conference game win for the Lady Raiders since Feb 27, 2013 and it was also Head Coach Candi Whitaker's 100^th career win.

The Cowgirls are coming off a loss to #6 Baylor in their season opener in Waco, TX on Jan 3, 2015. The OSU Cowgirls are led by Senior Forward #4 Liz Donohoe who averages 12.7 ppg, and 4.6 rpg and hits over 94.3% of her free-throws. She is supported by Senior Center #55 Lashawn Jones who averages 9.9 ppg and 7.1 rpg and Junior Guard #22 Brittney Martin who pulls in 13.3 ppg and 7.1 rpg. Sophomore Guard #00 Roshunda Johnson who averages 13 ppg and 3.9 rpg and is a strong 3-pt shooter. Sophomore Guard #1 Brittany Atkins averages 12.6 ppg and 3.9 rpg. The Cowgirls were picked to finish 4^th in the pre-season Big12 poll.

The Starters for today's game are:  Sophomore Guard #3 Minta Spears who is averaging 10 ppg and is 78.5% accurate at the charity stripe and is currently ranked1st in the Big 12 standings for 3-Pt FG% with 52.9% (27-51);  Junior (transfer) Guard #11 Rayven Brooks had 6.8 points and 3.7 rebounds and is currently ranked 10th in the Big12 standings for Blocked Shots with 14 blocks this season; Freshman Forward #32 Dayo Olabode  makes 9.6 ppg and 6.4 rebounds and is currently 14th in the Big12 with an average of 6.3 rebounds per games (82 total this season);  Senior Forward #41 Kelsi Baker averages 10.7 ppg and 5.5 rebounds and is ranked 11th in the Big12 standing in both Offensive Rebounds (2.38/game) and FT% at 71.4% (45-63); and Senior Guard #12 Amber Battle who averages 14.7 ppg and 8.4 rebounds.
