Daniels' Decision Today. Not exactly sure when, but Texas Tech target DT Darrion Daniels is set to decide sometime today. I'm sure that someone will post the time in the comments later today.

Morris on Super Bowl XXX. From KCBD, former Texas Tech footballer Byron "Bam" Morris talks about playing Super Bowl XXX and the most frustrating thing about this article was that I couldn't get it play, but the best thing to learn about the article is that Morris is returning to Texas Tech this summer, he lacks 32 hours, to finish his degree and wants to become a coach:

From red and black to black and yellow, Morris left Tech after his junior year to be drafted in the third round by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

"When you get to the NFL you always talk about getting to the next level. The dream is the big dance, the big game and before my eyes my dreams had come true," Morris says. "We didn't win but we gave the Cowboys a good game."

A game that came to a 27-17 conclusion, an unforgettable experience with one play in particular Morris will never forget.

From two yards out, quarterback Neil O'Donnell handed the ball off to Morris, who walked it into the end zone.

Morris starts back at Texas Tech this summer to finish his degree.

From the very limited dealings that I've had with former Texas Tech football players, they all absolutely love Morris, who, admittedly, has made some bad decisions in his life, but every former player I've talked to has said that Morris will do anything for you and he's as nice a guy that you'll ever meet.

Amendola Ready for Super Bowl XLIX. From the Chron, former Texas Tech footballer Danny Amendola is ready for Super Bowl XLIX:

Amendola, 29, was undrafted out of Texas Tech. He signed with the Cowboys and went to the Eagles before settling in with the Rams. After he spent four seasons in St. Louis, the Patriots signed him in 2013 to replace Wes Welker, another former Texas Tech receiver.

"My dad and mom were born and raised in Boston, and then they moved to Texas right before I was born," Amendola said. "My mom's been living back in Boston for the past 15 years, so coming back there, it was really cool to have Thanksgiving and Christmas with her.

"I get home-cooked meals and have some family come to the games."

Amendola will have a lot of family and friends at Sunday's game.

"I've got family coming in from Houston and Boston," he said. "I've got friends coming from Houston, Lubbock and California. They're all excited."

Miscellaneous. Via Raider Power, Azle LB Johnny Crow (6-1/220) has been offered and accepted a preferred walk-on spot with the Texas Tech football team (congrats!) . . . via Burnt Orange Nation, the big news from last night is that QB Kyler Murray has chosen to stick with his commitment to TAMU . . .
