Women's Basketball
Lady Raiders Struggling: I haven't written that much about the Lady Raiders as they have lost 19 in a row, and lost to Kansas St. over the weekend (via TexasTech). Thankfully, RndRckTTU has been dutifully covering this team and it hasn't been an easy season to do so. Krista Curry really left this team in a heap when she left, with almost zero post players and the one post player that was here, hurt her knee and hasn't been able to play all year.
Baseball
Housekeeping: Just to keep everyone in the look, I'm going to do my best to just have one baseball post per weekend and it will be the place to get your comment on and I'll update it with short recaps and box scores from each of the games. I'll try to keep it pinned on the top of the page so it is easy to find, which I think a lot of you did find. There were 74 comments on a baseball post in February! High five.
Texas Tech Wins Series Against Indiana: In any event, this past weekend, Texas Tech hosted #3 Indiana on a gorgeous Lubbock weekend and won the series, 3-1 (VTM Series Thread). There's lots more recaps and thoughts around the internets about Texas Tech's win: Red Raiders beat Hoosiers in opening series (via DT); Red Raiders sweep double-header (via LAJ); Texas Tech finishes Indiana (via LAJ); and impressions from opening weekend (via LAJ). The last article is the one I want to point to as LAJ's George Watson wrote about how he thinks this team might have a bit of confidence that's been missing for over a decade.
Men's Basketball
Texas Tech to Host Jayhawks: Did you hear that there's a big basketball game coming up this week? Yep, Texas Tech hosts Kansas on Tuesday night at 7:00 pm at the United Spirit Arena. We're already getting some looks of the Jayhawks and Red Raiders in a tale of the tape (via LAJ).
Football
Allen Loses in Wrestling State Final: Texas Tech signee Dakota Allen lost to the defending state champion in the UIL wrestling state final (via LAJ).
Valentine's Day Cards: I am obviously way too late on this, but the Smoking Musket had some Big 12 Valentine's Day cards (via SmokingMusket).
Big 12 Power Rankings: Need some Big 12 power rankings in your life? Sure, why not, it's February (via SB Nation). Kirk has Texas Tech behind Oklahoma, Baylor, Oklahoma St., Texas, and TCU.
