You ready for some baseball? Me too. Texas Tech hosts #3 Indiana in their first series of the year, which should be interesting. Head coach Tim Tadlock is in year two of rebuilding this program and this team is hoping to get back to the NCAA Tournament after a decade long absence. If you go to the official site notes, there's a ton of stuff there and the LAJ did a terrific job of previewing this team and the Big 12: looking towards NCAA postseason (LAJ); Big 12 preview (via LAJ); experience and talent hope to push Texas Tech to post-season (via LAJ).
This will serve as your open thread for the entire weekend.
Indiana (0-0, 0-0) vs. Texas Tech (0-0, 0-0)

Final Score & Box Score: Indiana 1, Texas Tech 0 - Recap - Box Score
A really nice pitching performance by Dominic Moreno, going 6 innings and giving up 1 run on 3 hits, followed with 3 scoreless innings from Jonny Drozd. The offense only managed only 4 hits, 3 of which came off of starter Joey DeNato. Texas Tech's offense has struggled the past year and been inconsistent at best.

Final Score & Box Score: Indiana 5, Texas Tech 10 - Recap (for both Saturday games) - Box Score
Withrow pitched 5 innings, allowing 4 runs, striking out 5 and walking 2, but it was enough to get his first win of the year. The bullpen was terrific on the way out with the win, as Dalton Brown and Ryan Moseley only allowed 3 hits and 1 run in the final 4 innings. The offense woke up as they had 13 hits, led by Bryan Burleson, who was 3-4 on the day. Adam Kirsch was 1-2 with 3 RBI and 2 walks on the day and Tyler Neslony was 1 for 4 but that one hit was a grandslam in the first inning, giving Texas Tech a 5-0 lead.
