AP Top 25: Alabama still at the top

Texas and West Virginia drop from the ranking after opener defeats

NCAA Football: Chick-fil-A Kickoff-Alabama vs Florida State Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

After the first week of games, not so much changed in the AP top 25, as most parts of the teams had stunning wins over weaker opponents.

Alabama made the statement of the week defeating Florida State, consequently, the Crimson Tide are in 1st place for the second week in a row. On the other hand, the Seminoles dropped from 3rd to 10th place.

Texas and West Virginia were the other Top-25 losing teams alongside Florida, so they lost their positions in the rankings, as they were replaced by TCU and Notre Dame.

After the nice victory over Eastern Washington, Texas Tech collected four points, hypothetically ranking in 37th place.
