Last week the 1 seeds and 8 seeds squared off in the Lubbock Eats bracket. #1 Spanky's and #1 Chimy's received 58% of the vote to move on to the second round. This week the 2 seeds and 7 seeds meet up to see who will advance. Again, the voting will end Monday at noon.

#2 Blue Sky Texas vs #7 J&M; BBQ

Blue Sky Texas has some of the best burgers around, plain and simple. They hand-cut their fries, hand-batter their onion rings, chile sticks, and onion rings, and use homemade ranch dressing. If you can't tell, their main priority is satisfying the customer. They've also been named Best Burger multiple times by the Lubbock Avalanche Journal. J&M; BBQ is conveniently located on 34th street and has some great BBQ. They have the traditional favorites along with some specialty items like BBQ Nachos, BBQ Baked Potato and Bar-B-Rito. If you've never tried J&M; I would highly suggest it.

#2 One Guy From Italy vs #7 Ruby Tequila's

One Guy From Italy has been a staple of Lubbock for over 40 years. Whether it's after a rowdy night on Broadway or a casual dinner, they have you covered. The paper plate sized pizza slices and huge calzones are One Guy's go-to items. This is a place I make sure to eat at every time I'm back for a football game. Ruby Tequila's primary location is right across from campus which makes it one of the favorite spots for students. Ruby T's has a nice Tex-Mex spin on some of the classics and has an awesome patio scene. Their happy hour prices are a nice plus as well.
