The Past Week In Texas Tech Sports - 5/18 to 5/24

Steven Branscombe-USA TODAY Sports

Recapping the past week in Texas Tech sports.

Texas Tech baseball had a very eventful week. They preformed admirably at the Big XII Championships, taking a close 2-1 loss to Texas on Wednesday, beating the tar out of a great TCU team 8-1 on Thursday, and finally suffered a potentially season ending loss to the Baylor Bears on Friday, 5-4.

Recruiting hit a boom this week. Kliff signed 2 wide receivers and a 330 lbs defensive tackle, and Tubby signed a power forward.

Felipe Soares and Hugo Dojas defeated a doubles team from Michigan State to earn a spot in the national championship game in Doubles Tennis. The Lady Raiders Tennis team closed out their season with a loss to #1 ranked USC.

Personally, I got a chance to sit down with Mark Rogers of Mark Rogers TV to talk about the future of the Texas Tech Football team. You can catch that post here.

It appears Davis Webb has been visiting the quarterback guru, George Whitfield.

It can't be a bad thing.

It's Monday, but it's a pretty good Monday, as the Grilled Stuft Nacho is back at Taco Bell, It's Memorial Day, and we've got some Jace Amaro highlights for y'all. Have a good Memorial Day, everyone!
