Texas Tech: Tech has lost their past two series; losing the last two games out of three in their Big 12 opening series at Oklahoma, and a one game series, in Lubbock, against New Mexico... INF Corey Raley was named Big 12 Newcomer of the Week for the week of March 16- March 23... Texas Tech added an away game against Abilene Christian University on April 14... Tech leads the all-time series against Kansas 33-23.

Kansas: The Jayhawks have also lost their last three games, two against Iowa and one against Missouri State... This is the Jayhawks' first Big 12 series of the year... Kansas has won seven of the last nine in this series, dating back to 2012... Kansas won last year's series matchup, 3-0, hosting three all games.
