Ah, bye week. Normally I hate you and curse your name, but today I welcome your cold embrace. We've needed a bye week since like week 6, and even though we're just now getting one, it's still welcome. However, just because Texas Tech doesn't play today doesn't mean that football has ground to a screeching halt (shocking, I know). This thread is to discuss anything related to the games going on today, and also whatever else y'all want to. Swap venison queso recipes, talk about this vine I found of Tommy Tuberville that i'll link later on in this article whatever. Just no politics, religion, or flame bait. Jokes are fine, but this isn't a debate platform. As always, follow the site rules and you'll be fine. My over/under for people who will actually comment in this thread is 5, and the number of comments over/under is 30, with me being around 10 of them.
INTERESTING GAMES IN THE 12 O'CLOCK SPOT:
- (12) UNC vs. Virginia Tech - It's Frank Beamer's last home game, and that generally ferocious VT defense might have the clout to knock off the over achieving Tarheels
- Penn State vs. (14) Michigan - Penn State's Whiteouts are completely and totally terrifying, and the Nittany Lions are sneakily kinda good this year. If Harbaugh isn't careful, he'll exit Happy Valley a very sad man
INTERESTING GAMES IN THE 3:30 SPOT:
- (17) LSU vs. (25) Ole Miss - I firmly believe the only reason that Ole Miss is still ranked is to bolster Alabama's playoff resume. A loss to LSU could hurt that in a major way.
- (9) Michigan State vs. (2) Ohio State - Thank god this isn't a snow game, those are so boring. Both of these typically strong teams have shown some serious weaknesses, and there's going to be some fireworks.
INTERESTING GAMES IN THE 7:00 SPOT:
- (7) Oklahoma vs. (11) TCU - The loss of Josh Doctson and Trevone Boykin sinks the Horned Frog's season, but this is college football, and literally anything could happen
- (4) Oklahoma State vs (10) Baylor - Is Baylor pissed off? Will Stillwater's juju prevail? Anything could happen, and this game will most certainly decide if the Big XII gets a playoff spot or not.
#PAC12AFTERDARK ALERT:
- (24) Washington State vs. Colorado - If you don't know about the mystique and glory of #Pac12AfterDark, what better way to kick off your experiences with the alternate football dimension than with a Mike Leach game?
