KenPom numbers typically aren't accurate early, but they'll be very accurate later in the season. SHS's KemPom numbers don't register because they played Schreiner University, which is a very small school in Kerrville.
Keys to the Game:
- Revenge: Last year, SHSU beast Texas Tech in Huntsville and I was none too happy. Anyone can beat anyone (see Kentucky) and nothing would make me happier than to go ahead and dispense with the Bearkats early and quickly.
- Offensive Flow: I'd really like to see a little more offensive flow and purpose. The offense was good, but was bailed out a couple of times when Okorie, who is a pretty good shooter, would knock down a three-pointer. Let's see a little bit more inside from this group.
- Concentrate: I will harp on this and rebounding all season, but let's get this started early with a team that really covets each possession and holds onto the ball. Roberson, Voskuil, Okorie and Graham are all talented ball-handlers, but they need to take care of the ball.
