Baylor vs SMU - Saturday 2:30
Baylor handled Northwestern State just like we all thought they would. Now they turn their attention to SMU who they play at home on Saturday. No doubt SMU is better than NSU, but I still see Baylor taking care of business in this one.
Kansas vs Ohio - Saturday 1:30
Kansas got their win and I believe they will make it two in a row this week against Ohio.
Kansas State - Off
After losing on the road to Stanford the Wildcats have the weekend off. They will need to use the time off to try to get the offense going.
Iowa State @ Iowa - Saturday 7:00
Things are not going to get easier after losing to Northern Iowa. All the talking heads have Iowa finishing close to the top of the Big 10 this year which means ISU will have their hands full on Saturday. The Hawkeyes lead the series 41-22, but ISU has won 3 of the last 5. ISU loses this game on the road when the wheels come off in the second half.
Oklahoma vs Louisiana Monroe - Saturday 6:00
OU captured all the headlines early on Saturday afternoon when Houston handed them a big fat opening weekend loss. I said last week that this was a huge game for UH and they proved it by playing like it was the Super Bowl. I have no idea if Houston has a legitimate chance to get an invite to the Big 12 or not; nevertheless they have made their case. OU plays ULM this week and will take out all of their frustrations on them. Look for a huge win in Norman.
Oklahoma State vs Central Michigan - Saturday 11:00
OSU rolled Southeastern Louisiana last week and will roll Central Michigan this week. Yawn.
Texas vs UTEP - Saturday 6:00
UT probably had the biggest weekend of any in college football, although many would argue Houston did, and it will be all for not if they have a letdown against UTEP Saturday. I would not be surprised at all if UT comes out a bit sluggish, but in the end they will handle UTEP.
TCU vs Arkansas - Saturday 6:00
So let me get this straight. TCU's defense struggles and their offense flourishes? I predicted just the opposite last week and I am still scratching my head. TCU gave up 41 points to SDSU in what was a very close game until late. I am not really sure what to expect when they take on the Razorbacks so I guess I will pick TCU to play better defense and get a win.
West Virginia vs Youngstown State Penguins - Saturday 11:00
After a good win over Missouri the Mountaineers welcome in Youngstown and there will not be any upsets here. This will be a tune up for WVU as they have BYU the following week.
