Lubbock Eats: #3 Seeds vs #6 Seeds

Last week's matchups were the #2 seeds and #7 seeds, and both #2 seeds won. Blue Sky Texas and One Guy From Italy gained 51% of the vote to move on to the second round. This week the #3 seeds and #7 seeds square off to see who will go on to face both Blue Sky and One Guy.

#3 Mesquite's Bar & Grill vs #6 Twisted Root Burger

Mesquite's is usually known for their cheap drinks on Broadway but they actually have pretty dang good food too. Their pizza is pretty tasty along with their BBQ which is served with their homemade BBQ sauce. My favorite item on their menu is their brisket pizza, don't knock it till you try it. Twisted Root has all kinds of different signature burgers that aren't your everyday burgers. Everything from their Spicy Goat to the Sexy Hawaiian. You can't go wrong with whatever you pick. They also have some pretty tasty fried pickles and onion rings.

#3 Rosa's Cafe vs #6 Double Dave's Pizza

Rosa's has some of the best bang-for-your buck Tex-Mex. It may not be a hole in the wall Mexican food joint but they still know how to do food right. And who doesn't love their Taco Tuesday special, not much more you can ask for when you're a broke college student. Double Dave's may not be a "Lubbock only" pizza place but it's still delicious. It still beats the big guys out their (Pizza Hut, Domino's, Papa John's) and their prices are pretty reasonable. My favorite is their pepperoni rollers, pretty sure they got the jump on everyone else when it comes to those bad boys.
