I have been thinking about this topic for quite some time but decided today would be as good a time as any to post it and see what people thought about the subject.
Not too long ago, Tech and seven other universities were asked to and embarked upon the journey to reach the goal of Tier One status. Since that time Tech has made great strides but still has a ways to go before it receives the coveted title it's after.
Having said that, what does everyone think about what is being done to reach Tier One? Are there areas that are doing well or some that still need addressing? Would you do things differently if you were in the position to do so?
Personally, I think Tech is on the right track and even though there have been some struggles it has done well with the resources available. I do think there are some unique opportunities that reaching for Tier One affords that should be taken or utilized.
I am by no means an expert on the topic or privy to inside information, just curious what others think.
