Texas Tech Morning Links | Baseball Moves Up in Polls; Wes Welker Visits Football Facility

New campus photos. The baseball team moves up in the polls and plays Arkansas Pine-Bluff in a double-header today. Former Red Raider Wes Welker stopped by the football facility to talk to the team.

Pretty quiet this morning, so rather than nothing, we've got a morning link dump.

Campus Photos

Spring is Here: TTU Red with some fantastic photos around campus (via Totally Texas Tech). Spring is on the way despite the weather.

Baseball

Moving Up In Polls: After winning this pas weekend's series against TCU, the baseball team moved up to #24 in the USA Today Coaches Poll and #27 in the NCBWA Poll (via Texas Tech).

Double-Header Today: The two game series with Arkansas Pine-Bluff is now actually going to be a double-header today (via Texas Tech) The Longhorns are next, in Lubbock, this weekend.  Should be a pretty fun little series.

Basketball

Dickey to Step Down in Houston: This is somewhat related to Texas Tech in that former head coach James Dickey is set to set down with one year left on his contract at the University of Houston for personal reasons (via Chron).  Hope everything is okay with Dickey and his family.  Of all things, Kelvin Sampson is the leader in the clubhouse for that position.

Football

Welker Stops by Football Facility: Former Red Raider Wes Welker stopped by the practice facility yesterday to talk to the team and I'm a bit surprised there wasn't something from the official site this morning about what he spoke to the team about.  Let's get our twizzzle tweet going:

Safeties coach Trey Haverty:

LB Kris Williams:

Special teams coach Darrin "Big Money" Chiaverini:

WR Devin Lauderdale (he corrected the tweet pretty much right after, dang auto-correct):
