The Hub City Homers #5: recapping the Super Regional, debating the NIL rules, and high expectations for football

The Hub City team talks everything from baseball to NIL in this jam packed hour.

We are finally in our new home! The Hub City Homers team is now on the SBN platform and we are excited to be here. With our first episode here we brought some serious Texas Tech content.

The episode starts just recapping the pain suffered during the Super Regional. After crying collectively about that we take a look at the state of the roster. Note, Micah Dallas had not entered the portal when we recorded this episode. However, even with that news the belief is still there that Tadlock is very close to his first National Title.

We then move right into the earthquake occurring in the college ranks. I am referring to the NIL rule changes that are now in effect. That debate was a great back and forth about what it means to fairly compensate athletes, and really driving home how incompetent the NCAA is.

Lastly, we are all in agreement that football expectations are the highest they have been in years. Matt Wells has a deep, super senior heavy team that is ready to win now. A bowl season is where we land as the absolute bare minimum level or the head ball coach could be leaving the South Plains.
