  1. Oklahoma- Red River Showdown awaits the Sooners as they look for a statement win against the revitalized Longhorns
  2. Oklahoma State- After taking out Baylor, the Cowboys get the week off as they prepare to head to Austin and play the Longhorns next week.
  3. Texas- The run game showed out against TCU and will be a key factor in turning their season around completely if they can get past Oklahoma.
  4. Baylor- A tough loss to Oklahoma State won’t knock the Bears down too far in the standings, as they have a chance to redeem themselves against West Virginia in a battle of teams coming off of tough losses.
  5. Texas Tech- Escaping against West Virginia was a good sign for this team. They have a chance to become bowl eligible next week if they can get past TCU this week.
  6. Iowa State- Beating Kansas like they did was nice to see but is also expected from a team like Iowa State. Their season is essentially a failure compared to what their expectations were earlier in the year.
  7. Kansas State- Falling to 3-2 is a tough sight to see for this team but they did play the Sooners close and have a chance to regroup during the bye week and come back strong against Iowa State.
  8. TCU- The run defense was terrible against Texas and could be in for another tough one this week against Texas Tech. The Horned Frogs need a win bad if they don’t want to fall into the cellar of the standings.
  9. West Virginia- A close loss to Texas Tech isn’t something to dwell upon. The Mountaineers have a chance to get back in the win column as they head to Waco to face the Baylor Bears.
  10. Kansas- After getting beat as bad they did against Iowa State, the Jayhawks have the week off before they host Texas Tech in a game they can only hope the keep close.

Key Matchup- One of the biggest matchups in all of college football will be the Red River Showdown. If Oklahoma can beat this Texas team, the murmurs about how they aren’t a legit contender will start to cool down. If Texas could win, they could have a chance to jump up the rankings and do a complete 180 on what their season was looking like after their loss to Arkansas.
