One of the more common things we see from Texas Techs offense is Sarodorick Thompson being one of the key factors.
He was just that and unfortunately besides an Erik Ezukanma touchdown he was really the only source of scoring. His two touchdowns were key but they just weren’t enough as Texas Tech ended up losing to the Wildcats of Kansas State.
It was nice to see all of the running backs integrated into the offensive game plan, but Thompson as expected was the lead guy. He finished with 11 carries compared to four for Tahj Brooks and three from Xavier White.
He needs to be utilized more in the passing game, especially on swing routes and screen passes that get him into open space where he really only has to make one or two guys miss.
He will be key in this upcoming matchup against a suspect Oklahoma Sooners defense. If he can make guys miss and get us big chunks of yardage, we could find ourselves on the verge of an upset like no other.
