It’s been nothing short of an impressive month for Behren Morton, the 2021 quarterback commit. Earlier this month when 247 updated it’s rankings, Morton flew up 87 spots and is now the 104th highest ranked prospect in the 2021 class. Getting anywhere near the Top 100 of a recruiting class is an extremely difficult accomplishment. Now - Morton has been announced as a finalist in the Elite 11. The Elite 11 is an extremely exclusive quarterback competition featuring only the best incoming freshmen QB’s in the nation. Some other Elite 11 finalists are Justin Fields, Trevor Lawrence, Tua Tagovailoa, Kyler Murray, Andrew Luck, Tim Tebow, and Vince Young. As you can see, only the best of the best get an invite to this event, and Behren Morton has earned his place.

Morton made some serious noise throughout an impressive junior season. His stat line ended at 2766 passing yards at around 16 yards per completion and a 60% completion percentage. Maybe more impressive was his 29 touchdowns to only 5 interceptions. If Morton’s throws the ball next season the way he did in 2019, expect this to be only the beginning of his accomplishments.
