Cibolo Steele prospect Xavier Martin has seen his stock rise this offseason and is now a 4-star recruit according to 24/7.
Think #TexasTech & Kliff Kingsbury have a Trevone Boykin clone on their hands with their QB commit Xavier Martin https://t.co/c04IMbPK09

Martin had strong showings in both the Rivals Challenge and The Opening Houston Regional. He finished towards the top of the final standings at the Rivals competition and competed in the pressure chamber (QB finals) at The Opening in Houston.
Not only is Xavier Martin now a 4-star, he's also the 6th ranked dual-threat quarterback in the nation in the eyes of 24/7. Now that Martin is jumping up in the rankings it wouldn't surprise me if more schools start showing him attention. Houston is expected to watch his practices this spring so it's only a matter of time before others catch on. He's been committed to Texas Tech since last summer so hopefully the Red Raider coaching staff is able to hang on to him.
Either way, congrats Mr. Martin! Can't wait to have you in Lubbock.
