Texas Tech Defeats Longwood 91-60

The Red Raiders are 11-1 heading into conference play.

So that will do it for non conference play (except LSU in about a month). Once again the Red Raiders took care of business against a lesser opponent. Texas Tech controlled every facet of the game from start to finish. I give a lot of credit to Beard and his team for staying focused and winning the game in such a dominating way. On the other hand I really hope the weak December schedule does not come back to bite us this season. I am not sure the schedule has prepared us enough for conference play, but we will see on December 30th against Iowa St.

Game notes:

  • Norense Odiase returned to action tonight. He had 8 points in the game.
  • Livingston was the leading scorer with 19 points. I am really excited to see how he will perform in Big 12 play.
  • As a team Tech shot 55% from the field, but only 65% from the free throw line.
  • Zach Smith had his 5th double double of the year. 15 points and 12 boards!
  • Tech won on the boards 42 to 18.

Next up the Red Raiders will open up conference play by traveling to Iowa State on December 30th at 5:00. Let the conference grind begin!
