Texas Tech Implodes In Ames
Who would have predicted the score on Saturday afternoon? The Red Raiders worsened in every possible way as they lost to Iowa State 66-10. The offense was not clicking. The defense could not stop Joel Lanning as the quarterback beat Texas Tech with his legs to score 5 rushing touchdowns. Texas Tech’s lack of effort gave way to Iowa State’s second win in a row and a lot of speculation as to where this Red Raider program will be headed come offseason. Texas Tech will conclude their season this Friday in Arlington as they face a spiraling Baylor team who has lost four straight. Kickoff will be at 5:00 PM on ESPN
Speculation On Kliff Continues
If you weren’t calling for his head then, you’re probably calling for it now. The loss to Iowa State opened a dialogue of speculation as to whether AD Kirby Hocutt will fire Kingsbury come offseason or whether he will live to fight another season. Whether you support Kinsbury and want to see another season under Kliff, or you’re ready to clean shop, expect some change to come following the final game of the season.
Red Raiders Look To Stay Undefeated
The men’s basketball team has been cruising through their first three games of the season. Their competition will slightly increase when they face the Auburn Tigers in the Cancun Challenge. This team is loaded with talent and arguably doesn’t lose that talent with any rotation. There are still some kinks to work out such as making free throws and being aware of the shot-clock, but that should all be worked out before Big 12 play begins. You can catch Texas Tech face Auburn tomorrow at 5:00PM on the CBS Sports Network
