This is not normally the place that you would see something about basketball, but we need everyone to be a part of the VTM Bracket Challenge.  Go to this link for Yahoo! Fantasy Sports and then go to "Find a Pool".  The pool number is 192450 and the password is very complicated . . . vtm.  All lower-case.  I can promise that you'll most likely beat me.

Impact JUCO's: Dave Campbell's takes a look at the impact JUCO from across the state and they pick just one JUCO from each of the colleges and they chose DT Rika Levi (via Texas Football).   Like a lot of you, if this doesn't work out, I'm incredibly nervous about how this will play out, but there really wasn't much of a choice.  The other choice was to recruit a bunch of high school defensive tackles that most likely wouldn't be ready to compete for a couple of years.  Regardless, I'm incredibly happy to have four JUCO defensive linemen and after reading this link I started to think about the one JUCO player that I think will have the biggest impact.  Here's the list, leave your pick in the comments.

DT Rika Levi
DT Keland McElrath
DT Marcus Smith
DE Brandon Thorpe
S Josh Keys
OT Dominique Robertson
OG Shaquille Davis
WR Devin Lauderdale

Commitment Table: I spent quite a bit of time over the past few nights about how to make the recruiting table a bit cleaner as I thought there was too much wasted space on the recruiting table previously.  So I tried to delete as much as possible.  With it being such a slow sports day in terms of football news because of spring break, I thought this was as good a time as any to publish this.  Don't forget that I try to keep up with all of this at the Football Commitment Page and I also have the Basketball Commitment Page.

The official site has a contest for this year to be the year of the fearless fan (via Texas Tech).

You may not remember this guy, but Trevor Reilly was originally a Texas Tech commit with Leach, but he never showed up and went on a Mormon mission and ended up at Utah.  Anyway, he's writing a draft diary for USA Today and he's got a terrific story that's worth your time (via USA Today).
