1. Buchanan Added to Whitaker's Staff | Candace Whitaker has hired Damitria Buchanan to be part of her coaching staff. Buchanan is a TAMU alum and was at Stephen F. Austin the past two years as an assistant coach.

2. Fearless Champions Road Trip | Texas Tech is doing some promoting as they are traveling to places like Slaton or Post or Levelland to give us kids a chance to play, get some food and sell some football season tickets. See the link to see if they will be in your neck of the woods.

3. GIF Tournament | SB Nation's GIF Tournament is underway and there is no way that I can post links to all of the GIF battles, but this is the main page.

6. Slowing Things Down | SB Nation's Bill Connelly has an interesting look at pace of college football in 2012. Speaking of pace, per CBS Sports, Arkansas Bret Bielema wants to implement a rule to slow things down and no-huddle offenses.

7. Hanni Opines on Recruiting Class | Voice of the Red Raider basketball team, Brian Hanni, writes about the four recruits, Randy Onwausar, Alex Foster, Cory Scott and Rob Turner.

8. Baylor Preview and Softest Schedules | SB Nation's Bill Connelly looks at the Baylor Bears. Baylor was also on CBS Sports' list of softest non-conference schedules. West Virginia and Kansas St. also make the list. Don't throw stones here. Texas Tech very well could have been on this list with @ SMU, Stephen F. Austin and Texas St.

9. Texas Tech Crystal Ball | 247 Sports does this thing, Crystal Ball Predictions, where they get the recruiting experts to predict where players will commit and then they take those predictions and tally them up and give a percentage. So, Expert 1 thinks that Player A will commit to TCU but Expert 2 thinks that Player A will commit to Texas Tech, then Texas Tech has a 50% chance of receiving a commit. I don't know what to think about this stuff, but at the very least, it's something to watch if recruiting is your thing.

10. R.A. Dickey Knuckleball GIFS | If you like GIF's and baseball, then this is pretty neat.

11. Being Horrible at Your Job | SB Nation's Jon Bois takes a look at this video and if being horrible at your job is a sport. If you haven't watched this video, it is amazing how horrible at his job that this guy is.

12. Firing the Schwab | Deadspin with an interesting take on the difference between Sports Center when 10 to 20 years ago versus now, which is that information was key and important and vital, where as now, people who are good at conveying information are laid off, like Howie Schwab.
