DTN News:
I got nothing this morning. I spent much of yesterday watching the NFL and hanging out at home. I'm planning at least one in-depth discussion about Graham Harrell this week, and I think after this weekend's performance we'll work in a discussion about the defense as well.
Texas Tech Football:
LAJ's Don Williams's article this morning mainly details the second half comeback and Michael Crabtree's performance. In my gushing over Crabtree, DTN reader ST04, who was at the game, said that Crabtree gave up on the pass from Harrell which turned into the Harrell interception. As talented as this kid is, he still has a ton to learn. Good note by ST04.
Don's Red Raiders Football Notebook has notes on L.A. Reed's full-out dive for a catch, the progress being made on kick-off returns, and Setencich on the difficulties covering Sam Lorne and having the right personnel on the field.
That last part bothers me to no end and I wonder how much good it does to complain. I have a feeling that Setencich will be around as long as he wants to be around. I wrote this back in January and I still think it's appropriate.
The LAJ staff also has quick notes on each position in an Extra Points feature.
The DMN staff has early previews of this weekend's upcoming games in Around the Big 12, which includes a note that Shawn Byrnes is expected to play this weekend against Rice.
