The notes are going to be short and sweet today. I had computer problems last night and there's really not that much out there.
Texas Tech Football:
Michigan blog, Maize n Brew, has a well done Big 12 preview, Maize n Brew's 2007 Misguided and Misinformed Preview of the Big XII. Like most prognosticators he's picking Tech to finish next to last the Big 12 South (Am I the only one being too optimistic about the defensive line?). Good stuff, go check it out.
Red Raider Sports' Armen Williams has a nice article on a number of former Lubbock area high school graduates and former and current Tech players giving back to the Lubbock community. I'm a sucker for this type of story, especially when there seems to be a lot of bad going on right now (see Minnesota, Alabama, Wisconsin) it's good to have this balance going on in college football.
The Big 12 has hired a search firm to find a new commissioner. I still think Kevivn Weiberg made a bad choice in moving to the Big Ten Network, but maybe the Big 12 will be better off with a new presence.
The Chron's Terrence Harris is catching some serious flack for his Big 12 preseason picks. His assessment of Texas Tech is a little tired so I won't even retype it.
Note to self: send an email to Captain Leach and let him know that defense is important when playing football.
