Sunday Morning Baseball Notes

Texas Tech Baseball:

Yesterday's game between Tech and A&M was officially canceled, which means that no make-up game is scheduled which means that Tech will now have one less home game. LAJ's George Watson is on the story, much of which discusses how the team is a little encouraged by the recent play of the pitchers.

In that regard, Hays said he feels better about his pitching staff coming out of this series than he did last weekend at Kansas State.

Texas A&M, which came into the weekend hitting .325, scored 10 runs in two games, and five of those came in one inning. Tech used four pitchers in the two games - Travis Young, AJ Ramos, Chris Ortmeier and Colt Hynes

"All four of them pitched well," Hays said. "I feel a lot better about our pitchers this week."

The season series with UT begins in Austin on Friday through Sunday:

  • Friday @ 6:05 p.m. CST
  • Saturday @ 2:00 p.m. CST
  • Sunday @ 1:00 p.m. CST
