The Numbers:
Texas Tech | Statistic | Centenary |
33 | K.P. Rank* | 236 |
110.9 | Adjusted Offensive Efficiency* | 102.8 |
85.8 | Adjusted Defensive Efficiency* | 113.6 |
67.3 | Points Scored | 79.1 |
30.7 | Rebounds | 32.9 |
13.7 | Assists | 16.1 |
16.1 | Turnovers | 15.0 |
Keys to the Game:
- Keep the Gents' Guards off the Boards: Amazingly, the two of the Gents' guards average 5 boards a game, which means that Voskuil, Burgess and Roberson will not only need to keep Hamilton and Stallings from scoring (over 18 points a game a piece), but they will also need to keep them off the boards.
- Keep the Gents on their Heels: The Gents are a bad defensive team (see the adjusted defensive efficiency) which means that they are giving up more than way too many points than they should and the opposing team is doing so at a very high rate. I'd like to see an offensive explosion from our Red Raiders and not make this close at all.
- Push the Ball: I think Burgess is at his best when he pushes the ball and if he's earned the right to start, which I think he did in the last game, then he needs to be able to push the ball and create some easy opportunities for himself and his teammates. I'm not saying run-n-gun, but pick opportunities during the game and create some easy buckets.
