The Numbers:
Texas Tech | Statistic | Gonzaga |
40 | K.P. Rank* | 2 |
97.3 | Offensive Efficiency* | 128.0 |
74..6 | Defensive Efficiency* | 70.7 |
60.7 | Points Scored | 80.3 |
31.0 | Rebounds | 42.0 |
12.6 | Assists | 12.7 |
16.6 | Turnovers | 13.3 |
Keys to the Game:
- Keep Zags In Check: I don't know why, but I'm becoming more and more confident of the abilities of our team, especially after our trio of freshmen showed that they are capable of playing a little bit. Keeping the Zags in check will be mostly up to the freshman as they are playing more and more and as I review the starting lineups for the Zags, it's apparent that they have a lot of mid-sized athletes, similar to Singletary, Roberts, Craig, etc.
- Pound the Boards: I'm sounding like a broken record, but by the numbers alone, the Zags have a 12 rebound advantage over the Red Raiders. Winning the rebounding battle will only help win the game.
- Showcase Zeno: Zeno was fairly quiet against Alaska Anchorage, but he'll need to step up tonight against the Zags. Zeno is the unquestioned leader of this club and his ability to lead the team offensively and defensively will be an integral part of Texas Tech's success.
