Thursday Morning Notes

Trying to get a quick post out before I head off to work.

The FWST has this snip on the Texas Tech football program:

Texas Tech football: Freshman offensive lineman Tyler Duggins' career is probably over because of medical issues.... Quarterback Derek Shaw is no longer with the program because of a violation of team rules, coach Mike Leach said. Shaw's departure and Chris Todd's transfer to Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College leaves Graham Harrell, Taylor Potts and Ryan Rowland as the scholarship quarterbacks for the Red Raiders. Texas Tech has a commitment from Stefan Loucks from Little Rock (Ark.) Pulaski Academy for the 2007 signing class.

The LAJ has this on freshman defensive tackle, Dan'Tay Ward, who has not returned to classes.

LAJ's Don Williams has this on new offensive line coach Jack Bucknell, Jr.

We'll talk more about a bunch of these items this evening.
