Texas Tech faces Centenary in a 1:00 p.m. game in Lubbock. The game will be on the Texas Tech Television Network, so I think that means for those who are in Dallas, it will be on Channel 52.
To be honest, I couldn't remember where Centenary even was (it's in LOuisiana) and the Raiders are at home for the first time in 6 games. That's a fairly long road-trip for any team, much less a college basketball team.
I have not watched Centenary play a second of basketball, but let's get to the numbers. Ken Pomeroy thinks that Centenary is the 185th best team in the nation. Offensive they are a pretty good team, but it's their defense where they suffer the most. Centenary appears to be a poor rebounding team, much like Tech. Centenary has three players scoring in double figures, guard Tyrone Hamilton, forward Alexander Starr and forward Larry Logan. Hamilton appears to be their most consistent performer, but interestingly, he's already fouled out of two games.
Centenary and Tech have had a common opponent, Arkansas, Little Rock. Centenary won 69-59 and Tech won 93-59.
Although I have never seen Centenary play I would think that Tech has superior athletes, at least in the backcourt and would think that given the Gentlemen's issues defensively, Zeno and Jackson should have a field day.
