Royals Review asked in a diary, which was your favorite Texas Tech bowl memory. I admit, I do not have the historical perspective of some of the older Texas Tech football teams and as we go into the offseason I hope to delve into some of history of these teams. I take for granted a Sun Bowl victory, but in 1951, there weren't 32 bowl games (I'm going off of memory here) so I would have to imagine that being invited to a bowl meant much more.
In case you were wondering, by my count, Mike Leach is the all-time leader in Tech bowl victories with three and in Texas Tech history, there has been one tie (1974) in Tech bowl history, and the 80's, 60's and 30's were the worst decades for Tech bowl games.
