Texas Tech is back at home this week against the Panthers of Florida International.
Last week in my preview I talked about how that game should not be close at all. Guess what? The game was close, very close.
That being said, this is another game that should not be relatively close. FIU lost at home last week to a weak Texas State team.
Tech yet again could not get the offensive line to click in the passing game, so that is another huge thing to watch this week. The line will need to get it together for Tyler Shough and co. if we want any sort of shot in the Big 12.
WHAT TO WATCH:
Can Tech have long sustained drives?
The defense has been getting absolutely worn out the first two weeks. Both weeks, the defense has been on the field 35+ minutes. Look for Tech to have longer sustained drives and hopefully give the defense some breaks.
Who will step up besides Erik Ezukanma?
As Tech gets further into this season, look for Tech to have someone else step up for Tyler Shough. We haven’t gotten a lot of clues of who that could be, but Tech needs to figure it out soon. In Big 12 play having only one weapon just will not work.
How does the team respond after last week?
Everyone knows last week was disappointing. Wash it. Flush it. Forget it. Now we find out how this team responds to adversity. Lets hope for a positive response and Tech cruises to a victory this week.
Tech has a lot of fans to prove wrong after last week. Here’s to hoping they do it. Wreck ‘em!
