Red Raiders in the MLB: Coulombe brings ERA down; Dugger continues to impress on the mound

Here are your Red Raiders in the MLB updates this week:

MLB: Chicago White Sox at Oakland Athletics Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

Chad Bettis – Colorado Rockies

Bettis hasn’t appeared on the mound since August 12 against the Los Angeles Dodgers. He pitched 6.1 innings, only allowing one earned run on three hits.

Kelby Tomlinson – San Francisco Giants

Tomlinson appeared in three games this week in the minors. His batting average went down a little, but he is still one of the leading hitters on the Sacramento River Cats team. Tomlinson played shortstop and helped turn two double plays.

Daniel Coulombe – Oakland Athletics

Coulombe is continuing to bring his ERA down in the minors. He appeared for an inning on August 17 and gave up no hits or earned runs and struck out one batter. His ERA went from a 2.70 to a 2.59.

Josh Tomlin – Cleveland Indians

Remains on the 10-day disabled list.

A.J. Ramos – New York Mets

Remains on the 60-day disabled list.

Nathan Karns – Kansas City Royals

Remains on the 60-day disabled list.
