There are certain days in the year that are just different.
You wake up, and the air feels lighter. A sense of hope and optimism overwhelms you. We get three or four days like this every year, and, friends, today is one of those glorious days.
Texas Tech football is back, and in spite of all the low expectations from Vegas and other pundits, there’s not a Red Raider fan in the country who’s not excited about this season. What do the “experts” know, anyway? Why can’t Kliff Kingsbury lead the team to a Big 12 championship this year?
Let’s enjoy this season. Tech might lose some games, but it might win a lot more. And it starts today. All you can ask for from this team today is to start 1-0. If the Red Raiders can do that, we all might wake up with this same feeling next Saturday.
