The NFL Dream continues for a few more Red Raiders as both Ondre Pipkins and Reginald Davis III signed Undrafted Free Agent contracts on Saturday.
Pipkins announced his signing immediately after the draft concluded that he will be joining the Washington Redskins.

Pipkins will have a long road ahead of him as the Redskins currently have eight defensive linemen and drafted the highest rated lineman, Jonathan Allen, in the first round. Pipkins should be very familiar in this system as the Redskins also run a 3-4 defense very similar to the Texas Tech’s. Pipkins biggest strength will be his versatility. He was a nose tackle and 3-4 DE with Texas Tech after spending three season as a DT in Michigan’s 4-3 scheme.
Davis was able to sign with the NFC Champion Atlanta Falcons.
— Reginald Davis III (@RD3_TexasTech) April 30, 2017
Davis will be joining a very pass happy offense where he can expect to get many opportunities to catch the ball if he makes the team. He will also get the opportunity to learn from one of the best receivers in the league in Julio Jones.
Both players will attempt to join players the ranks of Cody Davis, Bradley Marquez, LaAdrian Waddle, Kerry Hyder, and Branden Jackson as former undrafted Red Raiders who have carved out NFL careers.
