Texas Tech inches toward top spot in baseball rankings

Week after week, Texas Tech baseball continues to perform at an elite level. And week after week, the pollsters take notice.

The Red Raiders are now ranked No. 3 in the nation by D1 Baseball, the ranking system we’ve been using all season long. Tech sits behind No. 2 Louisville, which remains undefeated at 19-0, and No. 1 Oregon State, which boasts a 17-1 record.

The previous No. 1 team in the nation, Florida State, fell 12 spots to No. 13 after going 1-4 last week.

Tech moved to No. 3 after being ranked No. 6 last week. The series sweep of Texas helped Tech to leap frog over TCU for the first time this season. The Horned Frogs are ranked No. 4 after going 2-2 last week.
